We would like to invite everyone to attend the keynote speeches by Sasha Handley and Steven Shapin. Attendance is free, but we do ask that you register for tickets on our eventbrite page so we can keep track of numbers.
Thursday 1 June 16:30 – 18:00 | Sasha Handley: The Materials of Sleep in Early Modern England | Eventbrite Tickets
Friday 2 June 16:00 – 17:30 | Steven Shapin: ‘Custom is a Second Nature’: The Case of Early Modern Medicine | Eventbrite Tickets
You can view the abstracts for both events on Eventbrite, or on our Abstracts page
We are very grateful for the generous sponsorship of WRoCAH, which has enabled us to offer registration at a standard price of £25, and a reduced student rate of £15. This includes refreshments and lunch on both days, and a wine reception on 2 June. Accommodation is not included, but there are many reasonably priced options in the area.
We would also like to invite you to join us for dinner at the Botanist on 1 June. We are asking for a contribution towards the cost of dinner of £15, payable at the same time as the registration fee. This will be a great opportunity to continue the discussions of the day in an informal setting.
Please register online at the University of Sheffield Online Store:
